Virtual Power Plants (VPP)
A Virtual Power Plant (VPP) is a smart network of small energy systems—such as home solar panels, batteries, and other storage devices—linked together to support the electricity grid.
These devices can supply extra energy when demand is high or store power for later use. In return, participating households are rewarded for the energy they contribute.
If you join an approved VPP in South Australia, you may be eligible for a cash rebate of up to $2,050 under the South Australian Government’s REPS program.
